Just curious . Weight without mag. If you shoot it with optics include that weight.
This one weighs in at 7.25# with optics 14.7" lw. I will weigh the rest of them in the morning.

Around 9-9.5 lbs carried with a 3 point sling. Crappy scale measuring "crappy" dpms 16 inch .920 heavy barrel, crappy tasco 4-16, Harris bipod. Shoots 1 1/8 with winchester 45 grain hp, the only thing I ever fed it. I know, I need to get out more.

Depends on which one, but around 9-10lbs when loaded. I'm not one to worry too much about a pound or two

if your rifle is too heavy for you ... do some more push up ;)

I haven't had a chance to weigh mine yet but it get heavy after carrying it for a while.
Its a 16'' Rock River with a heavy barrel, a TROY industries full length free floating rail, Magpul CTR stock, MIAD grip, MBUIS front and rear flip ups, rail covers, EOtech XPS-2, a TLR-1 HP, and a grip pod.
Once I get enough saved up, I'm going to buying different uppers that are lighter so when I have to carry it for a search warrant or another raid, my shoulder isn't dead after an hour.

I've got a rra operator. I don't know exactly but I would guess around the 10lb mark with scope, sling, and bipod. It's a heavy b****h

It's not that it was heavy, I'm one of the more fit and in shape people in my department, and thats not saying much. I think its more among the lines of it swinging everywhere when you throw it aside and drop a guy to restrain him.

New here, but not new to the AR, Carried one for years in the army. But bought my first one for personel use recently. It is a custom build, with a heavy barrel. Not a lot of stuff on the outside yet other than a small mil/dot scope. It weighs 8 pounds. But the barrel is thick and huge. I plan to run many rounds out of it. I can run fifty miles with a sixty pound pack on my back, plus ammo and weapon. Weight doesn't scare me much.

My weapons must hit 3/8 inch at 200 yards or I toss 'em. I genrally shoot at 3 to 400 yards with small optics. I have buddies who shoot to 1000 yards, and can pop heads at that distance.

Haha. I'm 6'4" 210. I bench 320 and when I was going through post I did 82 push ups in a minute. I'm not saying I cant handle it. In fact i like the weight to absorb recoil. Just compared to my old dpms and the rra we have at work its a lot heavier. I think the weight is on the big bulky forearm.

Cool, but you need a glove on the forearm.I know, I have shot those types fast for minutes. The heat goes to your hand. Nice looking though.

Yes it will get hot after 2-3 30 rd Mag dumps and does require something on your hands. I say just don't do Mag dumps with it, that fixes the problem :). My troy hand guards get hotter quicker than this one. I think there not as open and hold the heat a bit more. This one has a little more breathing room.
