Yeah, I've been on the fence about it on my builds, I've never staked them either and haven't had any issues. I don't have any full autos, but I do run a binary on my 300 Blk pistol. Close enough I guess, but it hasn't had any issues with anything coming loose either.

finally got my AR in 6.5 grendel working the way I want it to. NOW to get to the 100 yard + outdoor range to "prove it"
Got a load with 110 grain Lehigh solid bullets in new Starline brass with BR#4 primers and 27.1 grains of IMR 4064.
Then today I stumbled across this WOOD stock that makes the rifle look like "an old barney gun" so it would not hurt peoples feelings. Fightlite.com it is a Fightlite scr stock made in a nice looking wood. I did read up on it though where it really HURTS the functionality of the 1) mag release, 2) bolt release, 3) charging handle as your hand is now far away from those controls.
Think I'll save my money.
