I'm sitting here cleaning all of my handguns, after a family shooting match yesterday, listening to my Tony Rice and George Jones compilation CD.
    Could anything be more peaceful?

Listening to the music while the family cleans the guns?

I live alone so I'm the only one here to clean mine. Strangely enough though, I enjoy cleaning them.
I think I'll smoke my pipe a bit too.

I don't mind cleaning them but after a long day of working on guns it isn't exactly relaxing and fun anymore.
I'd rather be in the woods listening to the wind blow through the trees.

I probably would be in the woods if it weren't pouring the rain.
Also, I'm sitting near the phone because my Grandmother may be getting the liver transplant we've all been waiting on today.

A little rain never killed anyone.
I hope all goes well with the surgery.

    Thanks.
You're right, I should go out. There were 4 black bear in my yard this morning and I wanna see which direction they went after I lost sight of them.

I've often found in the rain is the best time to go out. Any tracks you find are prominent and fresh. Animals are either hunkered down or moving more freely. The sound of the rain covers your movement and it also keeps your scent down. I see more action in the rain.

Yeah, they must've not been pretty comfortable because I've only ever heard of people seeing them here and seeing where they've been. They also walked right last my chained up Great Pyrenees!

He was barking like a maniac, so I ran onto the porch and there they were! A mother and three cubs.

That's dangerous. It's the mother's you need to avoid.

Yeah, I just watched them walk through the yard and into the woods on the other side.
She was pretty good sized too.
