Do you have standards that you accept for groups?

At 25 yards, free style, mine are
    1.5" for revolver,
    2.5" for a customized semi-auto,
    4" for stock semi-auto,
    12" for pocket pistol.

This is what I use to judge handguns by.

    How about you?

How many bullets in your group?

When I started shooting handguns a year ago, I was very happy to keep a couple mags worth on an 8" bullseye target at 7 yards. Now if I'm not making a jagged hole with my .45, I'm not happy. I don't bother measuring but I know when I'm shooting well and when I'm not. With my 22/45 I am happy keeping a mag worth inside of a 2" circle.

All of my pistol shooting so far has been offhand. I've never had one of my handguns on a rest. I will be shortly with my .44mag. I have hopes of hunting deer with it next year.

Pistol or .22 = one minute of beer can and I'm happy. 2.5 m.o.a. for a deer rifle.

18"x18" minute of goblin whichever is smaller.

Im not a target shooter with handguns. Handguns to me are self defense firearms. Im not a good enough shot with a pistol to determine the accuracy differences from one to the next.

While i can pull off some really small groups when i try its just not my goal for handguns

Staying in the black at 10', I don't get a lot of time to practice and I don't use it for home defense so I don't mind.

With my GLOCK at 25 yards if I can cover my shots with a loosely balled fist is cool. I do try to shoot tighter groups than that though.

Exactly and ditto, and I only bother shooting from a Max distance of 5-7 yards.

Do you use 338 Lapua? Seems like an appropriate caliber for those distances. :D

25 yards they need to be within 2" no matter the pistol or I"ll look at what I'm, doing wrong or getting rid of the gun. I shoot some pistols out to 50 yards and I want to be able to hit a 50 round ammo box pretty consistently. more than 2-3 fliers and I'm pretty upset.

Oh..Rifles I don't shoot much over 100 yards as I don't have a whole lot of room to get much more safely. Depending on the rifle I will want to have no trouble placing on a 4"x4" square where I want it to be. Except with 22's, I give myself a little more room with most of them.

I don't understand how this is even remotely funny. I looked up the 338 and it looks like a 30 cal rifle cartridge. Who shots rifles at 5-7 yards? Please do explain the significance of the statement so I can enjoy in the humor as well....

    Sarcasm. The
.338 LaPua is an extremely powerful, 1500 meter sniper rifle cartridge.

I guess I still don't understand why it was an adequate response, but to each their own. I'm really starting to despise gun nuts.
