Lauren Boebert showed up in Richmond. I'm watching her being interviewed on the street right now.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb

A great movie. There's so much going on both visually and verbally that no matter how many times you see it, you always find some new small thing.
George C. Scott as Gen. Buck Turgidson always cracks me up. He originally hated the idea of overacting the part as per Kubrick's directions but years later he admitted it was his favorite part of his career.
The original official screening date was to be 22 Nov. 1963 but was pushed back until early 1964 for obvious reasons.
Also, because of Kennedy's assassination, in the B 52 cockpit scene where Col. Kong is checking out the survival kit he says: "shoot, a fella could have himself a pretty good time in Dallas with all this" they changed Dallas to Vegas in the soundtrack but you can clearly see Slim Pickens mouth Dallas.

    Bing Crosby in "High Time."

A 50 YO millionaire businessman (Bing) decides that it's "High Time" someone in his family gets a college education. Funny, serious, and as heart-warming as any movie I've seen.

I somehow acquired a copy of Hardcore Henry and never watched it. As intense as any Jackie Chan movie, except the bad guys are from that other big commie country.

just watched a Star Trek DS9 episode: Past Tense

thousands of people jammed into San Fransisco. No jobs. no housing. tents in the streets.

what did they know, 30 years back, and when did they know it?

In Re Oak Island: they dig down 30 feet, and the tunnel floods, and no matter how much you pump, the water keeps coming in....

on an island. in the ocean. only 30,000 cracks in the rock. just, no.

The Italian Job. The original 1969 film. What a great movie, a perfect vignette of 1960s England. Clothes that put Austin Powers to shame, all the girls in mini skirts and boots or bikinis.
Beautiful scenery, Turin, the Alps, various UK locations. Great ensemble cast, Michael Caine, Noel Coward, Maggie Blye, Benny Hill, and lots of others.
And the cars! Aston Martin, Jags, Lamborghinis, Alta Romeos, Fiat Dino, even a M8 Greyhound apc.
And of course, butt loads of mini's! I don't know how many they destroyed making the movie but it was a lot.
I've been trying to find this online for years and it just popped up today on Crackle.
