Here's hoping you have no surgical complications, and Mend quickly and well. At some point I'll be heading for an ankle Joint replacement. Considering that when I first injured it 30+ yrs. Ago, it was hanging by broken bones and torn ligaments and a ripped Achilles' tendon,..I'm Glad I still have both feet.

Oh my. Listern to the nurses, keep your wounds clean, and don't be afraid to pre-medicate 25 or so minutes before you're strapped into the CPM machine. I don't know how long you knee's been bad, but expect to feel 5 years younger after you're healed, and 10 years younger a week after Olga in PT is finished with you.

Thank to everyone for all the well wishes. The surgery went smooth, I got discharged last night, and I will now be spending my next couple of weeks With my CPM (knee bending machine), my cold water flowing wrap, and a few bottles of Oxycontin in hand.

Just don't get too "attached" to that medication. Lots of Pro athletes and regular folks who take it for a while can't get off it too easily. Did they set you up with PT? I'm coming off 6 months of 2X per week, and it's a tremendous help in recovering from Back & shoulder injuries, as well as my recent foot surgeries, and to have a regular workout & treatment plan. Now I have a short break while the PT is on vacation with his family, then I have 16 weeks of 1X a week..

Yep Doc, them pills can grab you quick if you stay on too long. I start in home P/T tomorrow and once I can drive, I'll be headed to the physical therapy office 2-3 times a week for the next few months.
