Which 1911's have the best warranty??

I think the only thing that voids the warranty is if someone else works on the gun. Obviously if you have a local gunsmith do any kind of customizing or changing out parts STI would probably have an issue, but I can't really blame them for that. While I've not had any serious issues over the years I've always just arranged to drop of a pistol for them to work on when something has come up. (I'm nearby so a drop off isn't a problem.) Their CS guys have been terrific and very concerned with my complete satisfaction.
The original question was about the best warranty. I do not think that there is a question about the best.

Hi Point, will fix any gun they made, with no questions about the cause of the damage, to anyone who sends it to them, first owner, second owner, third owner...with no time limit, and no bill of sale.

I don't own a Hi point, I don't really care for them, but you will not find a better warranty anywhere in the firearms or any other industry.

nope, the OP's question was, what is the best 1911 warranty.

and granted of all firearms made, a person would be hard pressed to find one better than Hi-Points!

personally, i don't really care about the warranty as long as it works out the box. i usually put quite a large number of rounds through all of mine, that if there were some serious problems, they would surface very quickly. that and i like to customize mine and i figure that would void any warranty in the first place.
Yes I would like a 1911 with a rail the sig scorpion 1911 is more in my price range than the kimber and plus I have shot the sig and loved it, the warranty is'nt going to be the deal breaker or maker but I tend to hold on to my guns for a long time so knowing something is covered lets say 10 years form now is somewhat important

The rail on a 1911 is of no use to me. Having to buy a special holster, changing the balance if you hang anything on it, and it "ruins" the profile of a firearm that has been effective for so many years without one are just a few reasons.

The 1911 is one of the easiest to repair and with the availability of parts, I would think that learning how it works and being able to repair or get it repaired is more important than warranty (should it need repair). Clean it, change springs, get familiar with it, and you should not have any problems.
:) Wilson has the best. It is forever, and follows the gun. You do not have to be the origingal owner. They offer very fast turnaround on all their warranty work. Although, if you have a Wilson, doubtfull you will need the warranty.
I had an extractor break, very unusual. They had the gun back to me in less than a week.

I believe Smith &Wesson has a lifetime warranty.
I had some issues with my 686 revolver about 4 yrs after purchase, and they took care if flawlessly.
RIA, Metro Arms, STI, SA, Colt all have a life time warranty. Kimber has a paltry 1 yr warranty.
