I have a Walther P38 that I believe is from WW2. Would like for someone how has more knowledge than I on help dating the gun and also in helping with just more information on its history. I do have pictures that I can email if you can help.

The AC43 on the slide denotes your P.38 was made by Walther in 1943.

Early 1943 Walther made. The grips were normally brown at this point, but yours can be a transition pistol. They went from a stack stamp to a line stamp and changed grip colors.

    Very nice pistol.

The grips are a plastic material and when held up to the light has what looks like a wood grain design. Could they have changed colors over the years.
