Well, I was just told that all walmarts have changed their policy to no ammo sales between 10pm and 7am, I'm officially done with Walmart.

They have what i need on the shelf, I only want one box and they won't sell it to me.

Ran into this last week. I don't agree with it but they have unbeatable prices when it comes to ammo. I can't get mad when I'm paying 22.00 for 100 9mm or 32.00 for 100 .45ACP.

That's understandable, but considering the shift I work and where I live, i won't be able to buy ammo from Walmart at all... That is until stocks are back to normal

The only way ill be able is to take a day off:mad:

That sucks Sputnik. I feel for you. I would call the corporate office and file a complaint. I'm sure if enough people in your situation file complaints, they will change the policy.

What is their excuse for this rule. There is no regs that say ammo can't be bought at night. Also it isn't like some one needs to work in sporting goods to sell it. You just ring it up at front of the store. If mine had shotgun shells in stock I would walk in at night and pick up a box and see what they do. Sadly been none on shelf for months on end.

My guess is they don't have the people in the store to get the ammo out. Go to a Walmart at midnight and try to get some help. You'll be waiting a while. They have very few employees late at night and the majority of them are pissed off, restockers.

The Walmart here most ammo with exception of hand gun rounds are not locked up. Just walk over and pick up.

Well there's a reason for the rule..
If its really that big of an issue.. Which I doubt, go to bed and get up early and stop on the way in to work instead of the home..

This blind, senseless panic buying of ammo for NO other reason then flat out hoarding is why the average guy, like myself can never catch ammo in stock.. Oh, and the ppl buying solely for resale.. Until these two groups of morons and asses stop this nonsense, ammo will continue to be scarce and over priced..
If you know ppl who practice this BS, tell'm to stop it already..
It's shedding bad light on gun owners as a group..
I can elaborate if need be.. I sure hope not..

I heard that at the wally world by me and she said they had to go back to the old time because 3rd shift spent the hole shift selling ammo and couldnt stock much else lol. She also said some wallmarts were starting to only put it out two days a week.

Yeah my lgs bought 6 100rd boxes of .40 from walmart at 32.99$ before tax and it's now on his shelf for 47$. I flat out told him I wouldn't buy any of it. I hate when someone buys it solely to resell. Leave it there at normal price for someone thats actually gonna shoot it rather than try to make a couple bucks. I hear you loud and clear though man, sick of this bs

I don't agree with it but at least it's an LGS and not some douche on Armslist or Gunbroker. He would charge a little less if he cared about his customers.

And this is one of the reasons for empty shelves and sky rocketing prices.
