It was a matter of time. The last ammo run with Obama's first term many people used Walmart as a wholesaler and bought tons to resell. I figured they would have ea plan after all that. A lot of people complained then and I'm sure more did this time around.

Yes limiting is right. Meaning they don't sell it anymore

Wish my local Walmart had some ammo to sell, earlier in the week they had about 20 boxes of Privi Partisan 5.56 ammo, last night it was all gone and it looked like the rest of the ammo stock had dwindled to almost nothing.

We need to take a collective breath

Wal-Mart limiting ammo because there's a shortage and more people get to buy it instead of the 1st guy through the door.

Instead of bad mouthing wal-mart, who has come out in support of T2A, why not bad mouth teh US Government for buying up over a billion rounds of ammo from the private sector?

My area, they're limiting to what they can get on the truck. Shotgun ammo is even being rationed.

I wish I could sanp a phot of Sportsman's Warehouse ammo shelves, it is bad. The Shotgun section is big and even that supply is dropping fast.

Yep....they have the "Limit Three Boxes Per Customer" sign on the ammo shelf at my local WalMart too.

I have seen guys buying $3,000 dollars worth of ammo at one time. This ammo will go to gun shows and sell for a buck per Ctg. It is greed that is driving the prices up. The retailers are trying to give legitimate gun owners a chance to get some ammo. Limiting is the only chance to control these well financed gun show dealers.:(

The Walmarts here in Wilson and Rocky Mount, NC are doing the same thing. For a week now I haven't been able to buy or find any 9mm, 30-06, or any shotgun ammo from any stores around here.

Same here in Oklahoma 3 boxs per cal. At Walmart that's if they even get any in. Academy sports here has a 1 box per cal. And limit to 3 boxs.. And when they get a truck it's still gone buy noon time.. I just wait my turn in line and b proud get my limit if they even have what I need.. One these days ill b able to get back to the range if they haven't closed up shop yet..

I believe they're limiting purchases to limit their liability in the event that some nut bar that buys a huge cache from them and then goes and uses it to perpetrate some mass killing.
This way they can say "hey we ONLY sold him 3 boxes, don't sue US!!"

Just thinking litigiously, you know how some Americans can get, all some people want to do is look for someone to sue.

Wal-Mart, like many other responsible merchants, is limiting a scarce resource so that the maximum number of customers can have a small amount rather than allowing the "mom n pop" from the LGS to come buy it all up and resell it at scalper prices.

    Three cheers for Wally world!:):)
