I purchased a Sig P220 Platinum Elite last month and I found out last week that it's about a 90 wait for Sig to fill orders. Can anybody tell me why so long, I are they that far behind production or does it take that long to build. I heard the platinum elite frames have to built in Germany and shipped in and slide assembly is built in the states. I kind of hope it's that way, cause my German made Sigs shoot better than my Sig 229 Elite built here, but then again it only has 200 rounds through it and my others have over 1,000 each. Input or advise please, cause I am not to familiar with Sigs.

I am not positive if is a law everywhere in the USA but in most places it is illegal to take money and not deliver a product within 30 days

You have German made Sigs, meaning more than one, and a P229 and yet you are unfamiliar with Sigs. OK, Terrific.

In Texas it's legal, but if they don't I can file charges for theft.

I have a sig p220 carry with a German made frame I also have p229 with a German made slide, and I have a 229 elite that is all American made. I just bought my first sig 2 years ago, so I don't know all that much about them.

They billed me rite away, cause the gun shop I go to will give me somebody else's order if they haven't when it comes in. I'll g Ve them until the end of august the. I'll tell them to order me a SA champion operator instead.

That's disappointing, You could have ordered directly through SIG and had them ship it to your local gun shop, You still may, Maybe see if the gun shop will refund and only use them for the transfer, Most shops have no issue, But there is a fee($20-50 depending on your location)
    Best of lcuk

Not sure was looking last night and seen a dill on the Internet that sig sold there manufacturing plant in Germany to Swiss arms. Not exactly sure when this happened but that could cause one hell of a delay. Call sig yourself and find out what's up:)

I emailed them and LEO rep told me that Sig is 90 days back ordered and he also told me that only stainless frames are made in Germany, but I have 2 with German made frames. I looked at pics of the 220 platinum elite and it says frame made in Germany, I think the rep was new or he had bad product knowledge. I'll take your advice and call them.
