That's about what I paid for my VEPR-K years ago.

They are excellent AK's. A bit heavier than a stamped AK.

I have two buddies who often fight over who will get my VEPR if I die. They don't fight over my other AK's...

1250$ seems a little nutz, but they make a nice

    rifle.

I'd re-visit them in a couple months, and see if

they've come off their high horse.

I'm not allowed to say I got the Molot

VEPR in7.62X54R for $825 from Iron Site in

Largo, FL, am I? Sorry. Or I would say that.

I know the price is a bit steep bit as I said im looking for a high quality ak without getting too crazy. I was also considering the Arsenal 21 and wanted to know how they stack upto this Vepr. Id like to get a 74 but I like the availability of the 7.62x39 vs the 5.45 ammo in the current climate so hopefully things improve and I can pick up a Ak74 in the future but for now im going for the 47.

The Vepr is the nicest, best fitted and finished semiautomatic rifle based on the AK system. The Arsenals and the Centuries, with all due credit, all come and go. In a Vepr you get the Cadillac, both in quality and pedigree. Keeping it original, at least externally, will keep depreciation low, and possibly reverse it someday.
