Hi Friends, I need some advise. I hunt mostly jack rabbits at night. In thinking of lighting the target, at first I thought of spotlights but I hunt mostly by myself so how do I hold a spotlight and the rifle or pistol too. Then thought about a light mounted on the gun or scope, but it looks like there are wires going everywhere and you could only use it on one gun. So then considered a light to be worn on a cap or my head, but having trouble finding one that illuminates 20 to 50 yards. Does anyone have a solution for me? Thanks, Bernie

    Bernie,

There is all sorts of options. Depending on your price range and rifle range you will be wanting to shoot at.

Surefire Makes a M-951 Light that fits on a Picatinny Rail that is very bright and you can get red and other lens covers for it.
Stream Light also makes some items.
    The ATN Javelin Light
    The Night Blaster
    and others.

i dont know how good they are ''laser genetics'' by BSA looks pretty cool...if they work?...any night vision device for 265.99 isnt bad....(if they work!):confused:they are claiming that you can see up to 250yrds with it?...if i had extra money to burn,i'd give'em a try:)

I don`t know at what range you will be shooting, but I have a 10-22 with a lazer sight on it that is a ball to shoot, but 20 to 30 yrd. is abt. max. range for consistant kills. With a head lite you can just put the lazer on the rabbit and pull the trigger. I also have an AR upper with a lazer on it. I set it up for coyotes when nite calling I wear gen 3 gogles. If you get nite vision gogles use only red lazers, the green are far to bright, they look like flood lites through nite vision.

I have one,and it kicks butt at night. You can have several hunters using the same light,by adjusting the size of the beam projected by the laser.

I have the ND-3,the smallest version,it is truely good for hunting out to 150yrds.They also make a ND-4,and ND-5,they are much larger and will produce a farther and bigger beam of light.
