I just don't care for plastic on my Colt 1911's so I've replace all the plastic MSH with SS Arched MSH I came across a SMITH & ALEXANDER - SLIM LINE MAG GUIDE w/ Arched MSH so the Mag Guide was a bonus check it out.

Nice. The "Mag-Guide People" make good stuff. I installed one of those on my Colt Commander.

Very nice upgrade. Have you tried the mags with the hollow floor plate for an extra round? Wilson Combat makes some good ones. But they may not work without modifying the magwell. I installed one on my Ruger. It worked fine with all my 7 round mags. But none of my 8 rounders would work. That was when I realized that a little gun smithing is needed. I used a dremel to blend it to the magwell on my gun. Here is a pic. Now all of my mags work.
