Multiple stabbings were reported Tuesday on a Texas college campus. Sheriff’s officials said that one suspect was in custody, and the school warned that another was still at large.Lone Star College, outside Houston, ordered students to find shelter somewhere safe.In January, three people were shot at a separate campus of the same college. A federal official said that those shootings appeared to be...

Must have been one of those "High capacity assault knives".

In all seriousness though I hope the folks that were stabbed all make full recoveries and the perps are caught.

Once again this comes from Houston, a city that I grew up close to most of my life. I went to one of the Lone Star colleges. I keep asking myself "What has happened down there since I left?"

Also, how does someone stab 12 people? Well y'all know what we must do, BAN THOSE DANG KNIVES! Maybe we can save one life.

Yes, must have been an assault knife...and if it wasn't, it is now. I am interested to see what effect this has on the gun control discussion.

Will there be calls to ban certain fixed blade knives? A huge run on sharpening stones and price hikes on scabbards?

I as well hope for the recovery of all victims and prosecution of the perp...

Yeah, the article was supposedly about an assault with a knife. But before the "reporter" finished the article it was apparently necessary to mention another, unrelated, incident that involved the word "shooting".

Fox picked a random student to interview on tv. Only in Texas (or another great southern state) would the student say 6 times that God was watching over them and that the students wish the law would allow them to protect themselves with concealed guns.

The perp 'may' have been known for carrying a stuffed monkey around campus...from witness reports.

    Can't make this stuff up!

So, somebody said, "Take this monkey and stuff it"?
Or maybe he just enjoyed stuffing the monkey instead of "spanking" it?
Whatever idiosyncracies he had, this event will soon disappear in the media because they can't legitimately associate the word "gun" with it.

Knives are very concealable, relatively inexpensive, are silent and are reusable. You just have to get up close and personal. The knife did not stab or cut anyone. The person wielding the knife did.

Oh oh, black shiny knives! Back ground checks for anyone who wants a pocket knife.

Yep. And no knife will be allowed if it can cut anything except soft butter. It must be so you can't even "cut the cheese" while carrying it.

I read on yahoo that he used an exacto knife. This goes to show that it not the gun/knife used, its the person using it! This will die out soon, cause its not a shooting...

So true. This is all Obama needed today a mass school knifing. He is in the process of saving the country by banning magazines. The Press will ignore this one. I think it is too bad there was not one CCW citizen to end this. Maybe Texas law prohibits guns on a campus?

Correct, gun free zones, all of them.
Best place to find guns in Texas is parking lots of such zones...
FOX is covering well, predictably they 'get it'.

Lemme guess: Houston College a "gun free zone"? We must ban guns and knives too now. Ya know, for the children.

In NYC the police look for people with a clip hanging off their pocket, take the knife, and if it can be opened with one hand, and they try till they get it, they arrest you and sue the selling store's owner until he pays a penalty and stops selling knives. I bet everyone feels safer though...

Knives aren't like those "high capacity ammunition magazine clips"; knives can be reused.

All my knives have been bought in RED states. I would like to see NYC police come to one of those shops and try to tell them they can't sell knives anymore. I would PAY to see that interaction. They would be ran out of town by the business end of a shotgun, and probably not a Biden approved shotgun. Heck, almost every gas station sells pocket knives down here.

please lets all remember to show respect to the victims of this attack. my prayers are with them & i wish them a full recovery. remember, these are REAL people...not just an excuse to push a political opinion.

that said....keep in mind this was done with a BOXCUTTER. a boxcutter is not really even capable of stabbing or hacking. if this nut case had packed a hatchet, or large kitchen knife....this would have been much much worse. i thank god this sicko who did this chose a very ineffective stabbing weapon.

and the comments from the gun grabbers make me SICK. i keep seeing "if had been a gun, all would be dead.." somehow in their mind....beatings, rapes, stabbing and every other form of murder and assault are less evil?

    Agreed, completely.
The reports I have heard paint a truly horrific picture...
Huge throat and face gashes, not even realized at first by the recipients and such...
'Never let a good tragedy go to waste' is their mantra, not mine.
That said, the script has been set-bad actor event=huge gov. response.
    Lets see...
