Recently I was trying to get a good left hand percussion rifle but couldn't find one for an affordable price so I decided to look for an underhammer. Does anyone have any recommendations on what types are good (affordable also)? Thanks

Mowery used to make some nice under hammer muzzleloaders but they went out of business. The name has been re-surrected by some company or the other, but i was told not to buy one because the quality is gone.

I only remember 1 company that used to sell underhammer, it was Hopkins and Allen, they sold for years from like 1845 to modern times of like the 80's? Ya might try looking for one, I owned on in 45 cal, I think they sold in 45 , 50 and 58 cal? I have not seen in years, but yeas as another here said, Dixies gun works might have barreled actions or the complete gun for saLE?
