Just wanted to see what the consensus was on this? I thought it was an interesting concept and was thinking about picking one or two or more up. Thoughts?

Its a 1911. What more tactical do you need?jabroome said:Neat but not very tactical
It is getting oldPersonally I'm ready for the Zombie equipment to go away it has outstayed its welcome!
Personal taste vary
This one comes with the black grips as well so when the phase is over you can go "tactical" I guessDon't get it. Would it still be a "zombie" gun if the grip was rosewood? It is a cool grip though.
And this zombie phase is getting stupid. I love the fiction, but if you think I'm paying hornady $1 extra for a box of critical defense with a green core and fancy box art, you are sorely friggin mistaken. CC that to mossberg and all the rest.
Agreed we need new shooters, but we need ones that are going to take the hobby seriously. I know one guy, who I consider to be a firearms newb (though I am sure he does not), Guy just got his first gun not even a year ago and got all kinds of "zombie" ammo etc. I went shooting with him one time, he muzzle swept me a couple times and didn't seem to take to correction very well. Needless to say, I have not shot with him a second time. I kinda equate the zombie stuff as being on the same level as mall ninjas.I dunno. While I also won't support it, I can see why companies would rush to capitalize on it. Between "the walking dead" and the "face eater" guy, I lost count of all the acquaintances who asked me to "help them buy a gun"
I'm all for new shooters. But I did ask them "why do you want one?", etc. giving them an idea of the seriousness of gun ownership, CCW, etc.
It doesn't matter what bring them in. What DOES matter is we give these new shooters the guidance to be responsible gun owners...
