So this weekend my CCW came in the mail. I was so excited to see the envelope from the Florida Dept. of Agriculture, but when I looked at my name the was an extra initial for my middle name. My last name, first name is correct looks like this

    Last, First I E

middle name is Edward I have no idea where the "I" came from. Does this invalidate it. I am going to call today if i get a chance.

they mispelled my middle name on my first cc permit the lady at the sheriffs dept told me they could replace it for six dallors or to just act like it wasnt there.

I would definitely look into that issue. It could cause you problems down the road. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional.

Definitely get it corrected. If they put an extra initial on permit, technically it isn't you. Just not something id gamble with.

problem solved...The lady was real nice laughed at the fact that the state tried to give me a new middle, she jokingly asked if i wanted to make it Issac or Ivan or something instead. They are just going to send me a new license in about a week. No harm no foul. She said it is fine to carry although I don't plan on carrying anything until later on anyway as i only have full sized pistols and it is 85 degrees here and they will be sticking out like a sore thumb.

Good to hear. I always assume the worst and figured at the minimum it would cost you more time and money to resolve.
