Don't think so...but it may be pinned or staked.I want to remove the entire fron sight so i can slide the bayonet lug off, but is the front sight mount also soldered on?
http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinM44EEC.htmThe front sight base is a long sleeve which also incorporates the folding bayonet lug and is held in place with two pins, one at the rear of the sight base itself and one vertically at the bayonet lug. The forward section of the barrel is smaller in diameter forming a shoulder at the rear of the sleeve. The post and globe is the same type as the later wide Soviet assembly.
It should just drive out, but it dose look like it was brazed soldered on so I would proceed with care because you might have to heat up the part to break the bondPic 1- http://s1342.beta.photobucket.com/user/ammohog77/media/Bayonetlug_zps38cf306f.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0#/user/ammohog77/media/Bayonetlug_zps38cf306f.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0&_suid=136303067350602902149214229763
