Recoil & Desert Eagle
I have a Ruger SuperBlackhawk w 5.5" barrel and fluted cylinder. Single actions, by virtue of grip design, tend to divert recoil up and back rather than just straight back at the shooter. (as demonstrated by the face plants on u Tube)
A guy next to me was shooting a brand new DE and he let me shoot it to help him break it in. Recoil was very similar to my single action aided, no doubt, by the weight. Recoil was up & back. These were not hot loads but the DE handled them well and was easily as accurate as my Ruger. Trigger needed some work but a good gunsmith could do wonders...
In short, I liked everything but the price of the DE.
