Took the Plunge!

Congrats on the new purchase! I've been shooting my XD's for the past 11 months and neither of them have had any problems.

Lucky!! I got my XD Compact 3 weeks ago and haven't gotten to try it out yet.

3 weeks? What are you waiting for? The thing is probably crying in the case from not being used yet!

Thanks Defender, the wife and I went to the range and she was trying a few different 9mm's and was leaning towards getting a Glock 9mm compact till the salesguy placed a XD9 into her hands. She loved the feel and grip. Now she can't wait to test it next time we are there.

XD9's make GREAT birthday presents!

Absulutely nothing wrong with an XD-9. That will be my next purchase for my SO. Pratice, practice, practice. Teach her immediate action drills with dummy rounds so she can KNOW how to clear a malf or mis-fire. It will be rare, very rare but ole Mr. Murphey has a way of showing up when you least expect him.

I love my XD45C too

I love my XD45C and shoot 150 rounds a week even with the 4" barrel the groupings are good more my failing then the gun. My wife shoots too but not as much as I do and She found it was to hard for her to clear my 1911 and the XD has a little more spring so last xmas I got her a 357 revolver loaded with 38's if she has a misfire all she has to do is pull the trigger and that only takes a second.
