Got this in an office email today. A great read folks...
Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Good info and a good read, thank you for sharing!
Good read, there is a little more info here. snopes.com: Tomb of Unknown Soldier Honor Guard
That is some serious commitment!
Amazing, thanks for sharing Dave.
NGIB: Sir, they are amazing young men, even then, I doubt I'd ever make the grade.
Our prayers, should include these fine young men, and their willingness to dignify this honor.
Thanks for posting this.
An awesome commitment, a solemn duty; respect is earned.
Thank you for a most meaningful post NGIB!
Thanks for sharing. I didn't know a lot of that.
I remember when I first saw the tomb. As a military cadet, our punishments sometimes involve walking back and forth on our guard path carrying a 10 pound rifle. After an hour or two it's hell. Doing it for 2 years for however long straight they do it, would break me. Not to mention the monotony and isolation.
Great post Dave! I happen to have had the privilege of marching in the parade that accompanied the Unknown Solider from Vietnam to his final resting place.
It is indeed an honor and a privilege sir, to have you as a member of our forum. ***RESPECT***
