Been a while since I've posted or visited this forum, 9 months to be exact. Great to see its still going strong. Well since then I've picked up a budget 1911 that has really exceeded my expectations. Out of the box it was perfect, wasn't long before I wanted to have a different look for it and that's just what I did. I kept it simple though, just grips and a manufacturer barrel from their Bantam Carry model. Just a matter of time before the prices of Tisas start to increase due to the popularity, and they're becoming more and more popular.

Tisas has become my "best bang for the buck" 1911. If you asked me 5 years ago I would have told you Ruger but Tisas has bumped them our of that spot; especially with Rugers rising prices. Tisas is a full forged 1911 (frame and slide) with better than average fit and finish t a VERY attractive price point.

have read good things about Tisas and that's a nice lookin' piece that you've posted - I'm still sniffing around for their HiPower copy to gift to my BIL
Since last you mentioned this I've acquired a Girsan MC P-35. In a head to head comparison with my BR-9 the Girsan did very well. In short the Girsan has better controls and the BR-9 has slightly better sights and finish. FYI they were within $15 of each other, purchase price. I am still hunting a SA-35 but am unwilling to pay above MSRP so will have to wait till demand calms down.
