Glad to hear it!! The military loves for its members to run..alot. I absolutely hate running, it's boring, bad for my knees, and there is no point for me. I much prefer to get my cardio elsewhere.

Keep it up, it's easy to lose cardio quickly and as you get older.

Great job buddy!! Keep up the hard work. Work a little harder now and it will help you greatly when you get to boot camp. Start studying too, rank ensign, common terms, etc....

Already know all the general orders of a sentry, Sailor's Creed, and practically all of the ranks.

    I'm in good shape.

Jiro, you won't be doing much running or even double time this time of year at Great Lakes. You will however freeze your arz off!

Stay warm and keep us informed.

I'm sure there are a ton of changes seeing how I was there in 1967!

Hell we were in tents back then! [IMG]

Sigh only 2 weeks left to go now.

I need to give the money I have in my forum money to someone.

Who needs it or knows where it needs to go?

See if you can get it to go into Ineff's FTF/AAF plan.

Good Luck Jiro! I hope you get a chance to stop back in after you beat basic.

One of my nephew's buddies is a new Marine now & has just been deployed. My nephew has an address to send him mail & stuff; at least it isn't anywhere sandy, unless they park the ship to close to the beach.

Good job Jiro. Keep it up bro. Look at it this way...the more running you do now, the less stressin' you'll be doing at boot. ;)

LOL...c'mon Goju. My first sensei used to make us run 1/2 mile before and after class. Either it would be running or friggin' BUNNY HOPS across his doju and back. I think the running was easier. When we questioned him about all the running, we got one of those Mr. Myagi type replies...."those who fight and RUN away, live to fight another day"

And I totally agree with you, it is way too easy to lose cardio as you age :(
