I went to visit my cousin David recently and he's an ole backwoods country boy from the word go.We hadn't seen each other since his brothers funeral a couple years ago,and so I went to his house to check up on him. He is into the frontiersman stuff and we got to talking about when we were younger and thowing axes and tomahawks with my grandfather and his dad. David has quite a few throwing tools,so we went outside and threw at a couple targets he has hanging up. I'd forgot how much fun this was.We had a blast! Well,Now I had to go and buy me some more stuff just so I'd have some of my own,and won't get cussed when I break a handle or two. I bought a couple of Wetterling Axes, they are pretty nice and not too pricey, along with a couple of Tomahawks. The BattleAxe head was made by a local guy and is sharp as a razor. The Tactical head was made by a guy in Colorado,Craig Barr.It is a very nice head,I just wish the blade was bigger. It wasn't a big investment either,I got the axes for around $40 ea,and the Tomahawk heads for around $50-60 ea. Now I just need to make me some stump cuts and hang'em up for targets.
