Hi! I am a norwegian university student dreaming about moving to your beautiful country once, therefore i would greatly appreciate some help.

I followed your last election and have to say i hoped Mitt should win. Obama seem to me like a good man, i believe his intentions are good, but i just dont believe in the democrate politics.

Anyways, American politics are frequently in our medias. You seem to have some of the same debate as us norwegians. Semi-auto weapons is being discussed in both our countries due to massacres. Heard about the norwegian nationalist-christian mass-murderer Anders Behring Breivik who killed 77 people? After this theres been a lot of discussion i media, and i fear that this is the start of a long run towards less personal freedom and more restrictive gun laws. By now our gun laws is pretty ok, and norway is the country with 11th most weapons per person by now(in the world).

That makes me wondering which states you think will be states were personal freedom and "gun-freedom" will remain in lets say a 50 years perspective? Where do you think i can live my dream of fishing, hunting and shooting guns in the future?

Utah, if you don't mind all the Mormons. We are passing less restrictive gun laws while other states are passing more restrictive ones.

I think you will be ok anywhere for hunting.

I would avoid New York, California, DC, Chicago. Basically any state where people voted democratic/liberal, closet socialist whack jobs in office.
South Eastern states very much oppose more pointless gun control.

Mississippi has been supportive of the 2nd amendment, so far.

That could be a nice change for a person from Norway...you know, with the Reindeer herds. :D

There is even 7,5 times more space for each man, compared to Norway(which is known for low population-density)
