Well, as everyone remembers I have made a thread about barrel blemishes on my hi point 995. I never did send it back because right now I am fairly busy to bother with it, and second I have the ATI stock on, and it took several hours plus minor modifications to do. Not sure if that was the stock not made perfectly, or if my breech system on the gun wasnt perfect.
Either way, it was extremely hard to get on, and I dont want to take it off to send it back. I could send it back with out putting it back in the old stock, but its not worth the effort to me to take off the ATI stock.
Anyways, I want to thread the barrel for right now a fake compensator, because I think it would just 'look cool', and it is a great way to get rid of the barrel problem. So, I am wondering where I can buy a set of theading pieces and how hard it is to do.
I personally have a set that is SAE from 5/16'' to 1'' with course threads running from 14 to 18. However, the compensator I like is fine thread at 1/2x28. So, because its a 9mm caliber size, I assume my barrel (I will measure tomorrow) is 1/2, so I need to find a die that will give me 28 threads per inch.

can anyone help in my situation? Finding a local gunsmith is not an option. Anyone I have talked to only will fix a gun. They wont do 'custom' work.
