Thoughts on a mauser 1914 pocket pistol?

I was looking on my local armslist and a guy is selling a civilian mauser 1914 pocket pistol. Looks neat, the finish looks a little beat up, but supposedly the bore is clean and sharp.

I was thinking of picking it up for a ccw gun that I don't have to baby and worry about hurting.

The guy wants $280, which doesn't seem too high, but I was considering trying to lowball since it's a civ model and since it's finish looks worn (and since I'm poor!).

I would have reservations on using the .32ACP for defense purposes.

Picture yourself in a pen with a 100lb wild pig set on getting you. Would you want that pistol in stopping the attack?

If not, then why expect to stop a 200lb bad guy?

Now if you have a few bucks extra and want to get it for "Wow" factor, then, by all means, get it.

The cartridge I have no problems with, it's a lighter firearm for lighter duty, and it beats a .22 long. If I feel like there is any chance of a wild hog attack I'll strap on my .45 that day.
