    My thoughts exactly.

    We can all see the humor in this since they guy is apparently safe, but still very serious. That guy needs to go play the lottery something with that kind of luck.

    What the video failed to reveal is that 5 seconds later the entire platoon surrendered to the NDer...:)

    I doubt they were using live ammo for a salute (or whatever they were doing). I think the muzzle blast from a blank would still be enough to knock a beret off. Either way, that guy sure kept his composure.

    Actually, at very close range, a blank can be quite fatal.
