    This is what it has come to this side of the pond.
    Perfectly serviceable and in some cases rare weapons, totally mutalated.
    Do your own search on deacts UK its a horror story.

    What happens when they are deactivated? Are they done for ever or can someone get the parts and make the working again? I don't know. Just curious.

    They are pretty much scrap metal.

    Thompson 1928

    This is 1928 Thompson with the insides all cut out and the top slide welded shut.
    Surely there must be a way of saving these fine old weapons. They are up for sale once deactivated for as little as $500. Looking at the price in USA this has got to be a business oportunity. The problem is the UK still has thousands of WW2 weapons that simply have no value here as all are illegal. I know several licenced fire arms dealers over here if anyone is interested in forming a partnership. I am convinced we could make a few bucks
