What would be a great choice?
Rem 870 or moss 500. Hear we go agin with the 870, 500 debate.
I was just at tha gun store tha other day think N bout that Rem 870 that thing sexy!
I've gat both an 870 and a moss 500, to tell the truth i'd be hard pressed to say one is better than the other. Go with what you like, if you think the 870's sexy go for it
You have any pictures of both?
Agree. Both highly customizable and both used by military and LE around the world. I have an 870 express super mag which just means the 3 1/2 chamber and I love it. A friend of mine has one he shoots 100 rounds every Sunday has had it for about 3 years and has never cleaned it, keeps it in his truck tool box it never has a problem of any kind. Like the ak of shotguns I would say.
Do you have any pictures
Looks can be changed.
Brother in law has my 870 but here's the moss 500A grand slam
I like that how much that set you back?
I'm real happy with my mossburg 590a1 in marine coat. 8+1 20" barrel. You can get one with the speed feed stock for another 4 shells at hand.
What tha stock look like?
I bought that used a couple years ago for $200. One of the LGS has a new one they want $450 for but i'm sure you can get them cheaper, especially if you get just a regular 500
Yeah I'm bout too get me one of them bad boys
Just a full black stock. I had the photo in my phone for other reasons than showing the gun. Just happened to be handy. Will send more pics tomorrow if you like.
You know they don't all look the same.
if you go with mossberg get a 590a1 same gun just the tactical version. i have an 870 express super mag. mine is a hunting hd mix. i just need a light and a sling and im done. I was thinking about a magazine extension but if i need more than 3 shells then you are in way more than the average home defense situation.
I sure like that new bull pup keltec 12 guage with the 14 round double magazine for a woods and home protection gun.I plan on getting one and lkeaving the old 44 magnum home when I go in the woods.
That is an interesting gun. I am of the mind of waiting a couple years and see how it shakes out.
You really can't go wrong with either the 870 or mossberg 500. Both are great choices and if properly maintained will last you a life time. I'm personally a mossberg guy myself. The mossberg 500 is what got me into shooting. They are great, no frills shotguns that get the job done. Whether it be skeet/trap, hunting, or home defense. There are also an endless amount of accessories for both platforms. You can see some pictures of my shotguns in the "lets see some of your scatterguns" thread. Page 2. They its a crappy picture though.
