I just want to thank Notdku for opening a Ruger forum. I'm very happy that we are a part of FTF. Now people can post all about their Rugers in one forum!!!

Well, here's one to talk about:

It's my old three screw Super Blackhawk in .44 Magnum, cut to 5" and case hardened by Doug Turnbull, rosewood grips by Lett.

    Thanks. :D
    Nice to know that finally,
    us Ruger owners
are no longer the bastard children.
I am, as soon as my Granddaughter gives me a ride to Turners,
    going to buy a 22/45.

    10-24-12
My Granddaughter picked me up today,
    went to Turners,
put money down on a 22/45.
    Damn the paperwork.
    Have to go back with,
    with more paperwork.
Oh well, some day will have it.

My newest , fun accurate little pistol for a .22lr , cheap to shoot and the wife and kids love it . Nice smooth trigger . Love the decocker function , Big handgun features in a small caliber . Makes for a great practice gun

So, do the consecutive serial numbers make it more collectible? Or is it just a matter of getting a known good run from the factory? Just curious.

ELG, I must say I don't know. I bought it to shoot. It has the Pre-Red frame ala 1960s issue. It is smaller than other Ruger .45s and has the old flat top rear sight. The tractor store is a Lipsey Dealer I went into have some work done on a wore out Farmall and there was this .45 looking for a home. Damn I am still mad though, for what they charged to fix the Farmall they should have given me the Ruger.:D

When sold as a pair, consecutive serial numbers will add a slight premium to the selling price.

Certain serial numbers will also bring a premium price, as some Rugers of different models will have the same serial number. Also some vanity serial numbers add to the price. These special order with initials incorporated into the serial number.

Here are four of my six single action Rugers.

My favorite is the Old Model Blackhawk .357 pictured by itself. It's unconverted and has a very smooth trigger. Serial number dates it from 1970.
