Mossberg brought out the Shockwave and Remington responded very quickly with their version. To 1 up Mossberg they added 20 gauge which was also added by Mossberg. I would like to see a 410 version. Then Remington came out with the 870DM magazine fed pump. Mossberg has followed suit with the 590M and double stack magazines. What is next? it is getting interesting.

An 1100 with a 10 shot double stock would be neat.

Actually, Mossberg beat Remington to the mag fed pump action idea by DECADES.

Back in the 1950s, they made the model 200 in both k and d, which was a pump action 12 ga., with a 2 shot detachable box magazine.

So Remington was only about 60 years late to the party. ;)

    here's one for sale at Cabela's: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Mossberg-K-A-Gauge/2572599.uts

Winchester made a R&D mag fed semi in the 60's on the 1400.

They didn't sell back in the 60s. Now anything that smells remotely tactical is hot. I can forsee drum magazines.

Not sure if Remington is in any shape to come out with anything new until this bankruptcy blows over. Not saying they will quit making guns anytime soon, just the fact they bigger fish to fry as of right now.

I have a shockwave chambered in 12....I handled the Remington but I went with the Mossberg for the sake of 1 more shell and I really like the strap they have on the pump. I am not sure if we will see an automatic anytime soon....just my opinion because managing the recoil is a tad tricky, it would be easy to mimick a 'bump palm' type firing pattern....that could in turn be quite dangerous. But hey you never know, I hope they do come out with an automatic but I just do not think they will.

Eleven and a half pounds empty? You may as well carry a piece of artillery. No cleaning or lubrication? Tell that to the sergeant.

The Shockwave and TAC 14 have evolved to the next phase. They are now available with pistol grips and braces.

I have the Shockwave 12 gauge. It is fairly fun to shoot. If you do not have one, I highly recommend getting one. It is a joyous beast.

As am I, but even I have moments of "WTF am I about to do?"

Hence my wanting to find a used on in 20 gauge.

I went to the range this morning with a couple friends that have them, one has a Shockwave in 20, the other a tac 14 in 12. Tried both, and I would like to get the Shockwave in 20 gauge at this point. The 12 was a bit much.

I also brought along the Alaskan for them to try. My friend with the 20 loved it, and is now looking for one. The guy with the 12, not so much.

And right before I fired it again, I had one of those moments. It made the Tac 14 and the Shockwave's recoil seem soft by comparison.

The 20 gauge 20 pellet #3 buck load is an ideal home defense round. A lot easier to find than the 12 gauge #4 buck load. 00 has too much penetration for inside a house.

Mossberg added the 410 to the Shockwave series.
