Hey, I got one of those... Mine was one of the recalled ones, gotta free mag out it though..
Ruger announced that it is recalling all Mark IV pistols (including 22/45 models) manufactured prior to June 1, 2017. Ruger recently discovered that the pistols have the potential to discharge unintentionally if the safety is not utilized correctly. In particular, if the trigger is pulled while the safety lever is midway between the “safe” and “fire” positions (that is, the safety is not fully engaged or fully disengaged), the pistol may not fire when the trigger is pulled. However, if the trigger is released and the safety lever is then moved from the mid position to the “fire” position, the pistol may fire at that time. Although only a small percentage of Mark IV pistols appear to be affected and the Company is not aware of any injuries, Ruger is firmly committed to safety and would like to retrofit all potentially affected pistols with an updated safety mechanism. As a responsible manufacturer, Ruger wants to make its customers aware of this FREE safety upgrade. All Mark IV pistols with serial numbers beginning with “401” (2017 models) or “WBR” (2016 models) are subject to the recall. Mark IV owners should visit the Mark IV Recall website at Ruger.com/MarkIVRecall to look up the serial number of their Mark IV and verify if it is subject to the recall, sign up for the recall, and obtain additional information.

Ice hit here around 10 p.m.
No idea how much snow but doesn't look to bad out there .Calling for more ice & snow today . Looks like the plow made it by so can't be to bad . Will check it out when the sun gets up .
Still debating on the auction & gun show .
It's daylight & doesn't look bad out there . The snow has a crust of ice on top .
The auction starts in 2 hours & the gun show is open . Tough choices today . Staying in & cleaning the shop actually sounds better than going out in this .
But the snow needs to get moved or the mailman will get all poopy about it . And if I am doing that might as well warm up the truck ..... might as well see how bad the roads are ..... might as well got to the auction ! lol Well that's settled .
Here is a rare one to find. A Swedish Husqvarna m/40. Also called a Swedish Lahti. 9mm Luger. Most accurate 9mm I have ever fired I think.
Here ya go. A 1900 yr Swedish M38 mauser manufactured by Oberndorf mauser factory in Germany. Nice walnut wood on it. 6.5x55 Swedish caliber.
Here’s my Colt SAA
Well you guys were busy while I was out in the cold !
It was nice to get out of the shop ....... but a wasted trip for both the auction & gun show . Not to mention cold !
The cold with 30mph wind was brutal! The freezing rain on top of the snow soked in deep. Top 1-2" of the snow turned into an ice. My snow blower just would not stay down in the snow. It kept lifting. Back up, hit again. The discharge sounded like a steady stream of rocks. Got enough off to get the SUV out though.
Over did myself yesterday and badly again today. Hurt all over tonight. Old age has set in with me. Chest started getting tight and lack of breath. I quit right then.
The ice started here around 10 last night along with the wind .
This a.m. there was a crust on snow . My small blower wouldn't do it so I went & dug out " BIG BERTHA " that took it off . I didn't do it all here because of the show . Everything was slush the a.m. & by 1 with the wind back up it was all ice . Crabbed a $ 5 pizza on the way home & have just stayed in doing nothing .
Don't over due it outlaw ...... nothing is worth being down for a few months !
Another fine day here at the ice shop !
Another adventure into the unknown of the shop is ahead . Making it fun is what it is all about .
The key to working in a shop is to have everything neat & organized !
