Every village has an idiot ....... the good bad shops has rifling !
Nice week it sounds like for outside things to work at .
To bad the pressing things I have are inside things to do ...... may be able to mix them in with outside a bit .
I need to run to shop 2 & do some measuring for pipes I will be needing & drag them out there . All the couplings & reducers should be fun too . With no water in pluming isn't bad to do ..... with crap & water in ..... not so much fun ! When I get to wiring the place that will get real interesting with outlets & switches all over the place . This will be another dream & build as I go type project .
I disagree ! Look at "rifling so " as a a rash that does no harm , but does build immunity !
A goo d guy !
It was a really mixed bag of things today .
Did some shopping ...... a service call ( went really well ) ..... shop 3 & put 2 more storm door handles on ..... cleaned up the project trailer I drag around ..... picked up a couple more tubs for treasures ..... some food .... made a few phone calls . The door place sent me a bill so I called to ask when what I ordered would be done right & why my bill was off by 2k ? answer was ..... locks are in .... seals & locks will be on tomorrow ...... 2k was a mistake & was taken off my bill .
Measured up pipe & conduit needs for underground ...... that will be a truck full .
Oh & the dented up corner ..... that was just a bad dream ..... it's all fine !
I ordered a gun today
You don't know what you ordered ?
Just called & said send me one ?
I told the wife I’m coming up to see you sometime Ron
Take care ...... she is probably planning to move while you are gone !
Lol.... Rock Island 1911 in 9mm... still on the look out for a Colt 1911 in 45, not sure if I want a government model or competition
She ain’t goin nowhere, she’ll just tell me to stay.... ya got room in that new shop for me ?
Why make tough choices like that ? ...... buy both & be happy
I like all my 45s ...... just hate chasing brass around .
lol You may need to build one for yourself !
Don't even have a cement floor yet .
I just might do that.... I’m sure you have a bunch of Colts
Not to many ..... I think when I had time I was shooting more S&W than the Colts . The desert eagle is one I like to shoot a lot .
Since I bought that Ruger 45 acp I have been burning up some old ammo that didn't work in the 45s .
You making any headway on your casting & loading project there ?
That just gave me a brainfart idea ....... make the rest area in shop 3 - 4 into a back to the 1800s area ! I already have the things for it including a chamber pot !
In the 70s here today ....... now that's outside time !
Dentist appointment at 11:30 is going to be tough to plan shop 2 things around . Guess I can sit around & pay bills or sort stuff .
Yard work needs doing but then I really get messed up & hate to go with grass all over me . Maybe go buy a truck load of pipe for the shop . I need to call a guy with a mini hoe & just get that all dug out & can move along . Renting a trencher would be about the same money so let someone else do the work . ( if I can get one to show up & work ) That is always the joker in the deck .
Still thinking on that 1800s theme for the shop ! Tough to mix in a juke box & ceiling fans with that
Was a really nice day here in wonderland !
Dentist went well ...... paper work caught up ...... no call back on the doors or the mini hoe . Maybe tomorrow will have better results .
It is really nice to have doors & windows open !
Oh ya the cement guy didn't call too .
Two or the 3 no call backs can be replaced with people that want to work .
So tonight is goof off time !
May do a few things or watch old movies until bed .
May mess around in the rescue room & try to make some space to work in again . Will need to move tubs of knives out ..... but not back to the attic to make some room to get around .
If the frame of a 1911 is Essex arms & the slide is a Colt would you call it a Essex ..... Colt ..... or 1/2 breed Essex ?
I’ve been watching a lot of westerns lately
Do you have a frame and slide you’re putting together or did you buy it that way?
It came that way . If I recall it belonged to a master shooter that my dad knew . He had a smith do the work or he did it himself . When I was shooting a lot it then came my way . I never changed a thing on it . I just tucked it away & used the pistols I had tuned up . Have had that one a really long time .
