At least now we know that bats ..... eat there own .
What fun would that be??
Some days we don't get much fun & we have to settle for productive .
Making my nest just a little bit better than it was yesterday is a win .
In other words.... the toy tractor kicked his a**
To some degree ....... yes !
There is one part that seems not to have a place . Tonight I will look around the shop for bolts & keys I need & the ones I can't find I will go buy maybe next week . Drilling out the steering wheel hole looks like fun . I need a new master link for the chain too & get it all limbered back up . May try a old biker trick on the chain . ..... clean it all well .... pack in grease ...... wrap in foil ..... bake until the grease all melts in .... let cool ..... then wipe off excess grease .
I’m actually surprised, it at least looks half way descent
Thanks rifling !
It still has a long way to go & a part to be made & rivet the snifter / noise maker on .
Then decals ....few coats of clear .... then the wagon . At this pace the snow will be blowing by then .
Here my Harley...
Looking good Old Ron..
That is a nice clean looking ride there PJ !
Mom-ma doesn't ride ?
That’s gross PeeJay
Pay no attention to the Huffy rider PJ that is a nice ride !
On low speed chains, cleaning them off with brake cleaner, and then baking them in the oven at about 200-degrees in an old pan filled with paraffin wax, works well and is less messy.
I never heard of that jigs-n . Wouldn't the wax make the rollers stiffer ? May be worth a shot .
Thanks for the idea !
Cool but sunny day here . They are calling for 70 Tuesday .... doors & windows will be wide open that day . Today wood burner will be going .
Today will be get at the rifle stock that I didn't get to yesterday . Never done or seen glass bedding done so this could be fun . No idea how thick or runny it is . I still need to get some clay to plug holes I don't want filled .
At worst if the first attempt goes south .... I can grind it out & do it again .
Momma got her own..
We did it for years on mountain bike chains when i still lived in Vegas. Every chain oil, grease, or other lubricant we tried was a dust magnet.
The chains loosen up after a little bit. General just a good shake.
It made chains last about twice as long as any other method we came up with.
If you have access to YouTube, Midway has a good video on ho to do it.
Learned a few things today .
Dealing with old people & cleaning a small kitchen cabinet are both a pain in the butt !
How many bread tie things does one really need to keep around ? Wow .... half of a garbage can of clutter is now gone .
Bedding project went in the crapper when I opened the resin & it was hard ..... must have been old stock . Did manage to drill one hole for the steering wheel on the tractor before everything else went south . The second hole to hold it on may be a pain . Still haven't figured out where that one part goes !
All in all not a real productive day at the shop .
Rain on the way again today . Mixed bag of temps. for the week .
No idea what I will get at today . I need to do some banking for dad so will get out a bit & see how the crazy s are doing out there . Guess I should get a list going of things I need that wouldn't go buy yet . It won't be long & the yard work will start .
