    Welcome from Memphis,

I like good bourbon, hot cars, Mausers and S&Ws just in case you're extremely wealthy and like giving stuff away.:)

    [IMG] Thanks guys !
I am in Iowa ...... near the end of the world .
I forgot to mention that I am a bit of a pack rat . ( working on that ) Here are a couple projects I have done . I am learning on not expensive guns first the get to the better ones . I bought a gun smith's estate so have plenty to work on because he tore them all apart & scattered the parts around 4 garages & 3 rooms piled to the ceiling with stuff. So far I have managed to put together 17 together . On my learn to do list is building 3 Remington 700 22-250 s Restore 3 Winchester 97 s C D & E , Winchester 73 44-40 , Winchester model 20 410 . That should keep me busy for a while . Haven't figured out how to post pictures on here yet . Keeps wanting a url ..... no idea what that is . [IMG] to the forum. If you stick with the "gun" subjects and just ignore the bitter posts from the socialist demoncrats, your journey will be wonderful and your blood pressure will normalise........honest!
If you get caught up in what some of the foreign "trolls" post, your beer will taste sour, your food will smell strange, and every glaas of milk will be curdled. That's how those posters like their life.
Stick with the TRUE gun folks and everyone of your visits here will be:

    Thanks ! sgw
Another forum I go to has problems with that stuff . I just don't let them suck me into there sad days . I like to have fun & learn new things . I already know how stupid people can be & just walk along & let them fight with themselves . Life is way to short to mess with those types . I signed up for this forum a while back ..... then forgot what it was called until today . Now it is book marked ...... it's hell getting old ! lol

Hi Ron Al here from Pa. I did a couple of rescues myself. They didn't come out perfect. But they are better than what they started out at.

It is really interesting Al to take an abused gun & get it working again . I bet they could tell some stories . I am not qualified to be doing what I am but learning & having fun as I go along . If it works & looks nice then I did my job . The parts that I couldn't find I make . I have made a lot of mistakes but managed to end up with a working gun . At my land I have a small range & take the rescued guns there & test fire them . Right now I can shoot up to 200 yards & if I clear some brush I could get to 300 yards for my long guns . At that range I need bigger targets ! lol

They looked like they were out in a barn for 20 years. Before and after. The single shot is a 16 gauge Delphian from 1918 2 1/2 chamber. The pump is a Ithaca 37 from 1938 16 gauge 2 3/4 chamber.
