Had many a good day...There are a few I would change. The ones where I made bad decisions.

The day I met my current wife. I fell in love the second I laid eyes on her. Been happy every day since.

Of course, the day my children born.

Finding out I was pregnant for the first time.

The thrill of shooting a gun for the first time.

Watching my children grow into independent, successful adults.

Welcoming my granddaughter into this world.

I couldn't pick just one day.

Standing there at the altar holding the hand of the most beautiful girl in the world. Holding our kids (and THEIR kids) for the first time. Putting on my dress blues to walk down the aisle with a young lady, and when they ask "Who gives this woman, say "Her mother and I do". Handing my 1st Sgt a dollar for a salute. My first jump.

An absolutely GOLDEN September afternoon in a dove field, dropping birds like nobody's business, along with my granddad, dad, son and grandson.

Worst day? Standing at attention while the honor guard folds a flag, and carrying it to my best friend's mother. Trying to say the words "On behalf of a grateful nation..." when you can't speak.

    Best day of my life....hmmm.

Well it is hard to just pick one day.

I have spent the past five years with the most amazing women. This October she will become my wife.

So really I could pick any day from the past five years.

We threw a big party for a Navy friend of mine on the day his x-wife died.

    He was really happy.

This babe had divorced him, gotten alimony, and was living with a guy whom she could not afford to marry, so they just shacked up, and were living off my Navy buddy's alimony.

When she finally died, that crap (reminiscent of Thomas Crapper) finally ended.

It was a great party with lots of toasts!

There have been a bunch. In order --

    - high school graduation

    - college graduation

    - commissioning and the silver dollar thing mentioned by C3.

    - first date with the navy nurse who fell in love with my uniform

    - honorable discharge

    - first professional job as a pfc (privaate funkengruven civilianonen) again

    - deepest scuba dive to 250 ft on an old shipwreck with helium and oxygen and all that jazz

    - first buck with a rifle

    - first buck with a bow and arrow

    - first load of abalone skindiving

I would say they were all equal in terms of the thrill of being firsts.

My happiest days were watching my children being born.

There have been many other happy days, most of them revolving around my wife and kids.
Papa was really happy about two weeks ago when his baby girl walked to receive her master's degree in a scientific field, then had to return to her job, making more money than mom and dad combined. :)

Being truely happy, comes from the inside. Toys and accomplishments can make you dang happy for a short time, but those things fade rapidly.

There is an old story of a Monk and his apprentice, planting a garden. The apprentice asked the Monk what he would do if he knew the world would end tomorrow.
The Monk replied, "I would finish planting the garden." That is happiness.
