In 1996 I made my first handgun purchase. A Ruger P89. For those familiar with history that means I had to wait two weeks and was limited to 10 rounds for a handgun that could accept 15 round magazines.

On Dec 26th, 2012, I got my Ruger P89 back from my brother-in-law who had been using it while I had no place to shoot. I was on the road when the panic hit. Now I cannot find 15 round magazines even though it is legal to own them now and no 9mm ammunition for my upcoming range day this weekend.

Starting to think this gun is cursed!

The gun is not cursed. You have done a poor job in planning. The time to buy is not in the midst of a panic. The 10 years of the AWB were a panic. Sorry if this offends you, but facts are facts. Don't fall into the Libtard playbook and blame the gun.

It's purely tongue-in-cheek. I wasn't sure if I was getting the gun back and I didn't know that there was going to be a school shooting causing a panic run on 9mm (and other) ammunition. I was on the road with my family when all of this happened so I couldn't pick up ammo even after I heard the panic had started. I don't exactly make a habit of buying magazines and ammo for guns I don't own.

Your comments seem a little harsh.

There are no such thing as curses. What we have is a bunch of people running scared and buying up everything they can find in fear of some mass government gun and ammo roundup.

Went to walmart to buy some 9mm

    WRONG!

    This is their ammo shelf:
    4 boxes of .22lr
    1 box of .380
Shotgun shells and a few 30.06

Scored 200 rounds of 9mm this afternoon, so it will be going with me to the range this weekend.

Shame about the magazines, guess I'll have to wait till the panic dies off.

Actually, I got the gun back along with 13 rounds, so I as going to shoot what I had regardless. Not like I needed this gun for home defense.
