Pardon me for asking, but just what is the point of having a .22 LR that looks like a .50 BMG (or any of the others)????

Actually your seeing ONLY rimfires. This guy is converting airsoft rifles into stock kits for .22's.

    simple. cheap, fun, plinking.

theyre not made for training and i didnt build these .22 conversions to shoot out past 100 yards for precision. we have ranges that have those shooting galleries with steel targets @ 25, 50, 75 yards and i built it with that in mind.

i know all the negative comments ive gotten about it being mall ninjaish, poser, waste of money, ferio with a ferrari body kit. it is what it is and im having fun with it. nothing serious.

eventually ill focus on a single bolt action rifle for precision.

What does a conversion like that cost, with and without the cost of the receiver? Oh, and to be honest, I was thinking the same thing..;)

theres more but i cant think of them off the top of my head. i have over 30 stocks.

now compare these prices to the real counter parts that range from $2000 - $10000. mine comes out to less than 10%. ever seen a california civilian with a real M249 SAW, M60, M60E4, TAR21, etc? maybe/maybe not but this is the closest thing i can get that looks and probably feels like one. sure it doesnt function like the real thing but im just playing dress up. a lot of the airsoft guns are 1:1 scaled replicas.

ive got a 2 year old son that will have plenty of fun with my wife and i when he's ready to shoot. he's going to have one hell of a unique collection to inherit.

Well, It's like the old man who kissed the cow...

I think it's cool, while not my cup of tea, its a pretty nice collection. I'm a wood and blued steel kind of guy, but I can still see the fun in those.

    yea i know.... :D

most people like spending $2k - $5k on a single rifle. i prefer to get a bunch of .22's instead and play dress up. ;)

You should post a step by step in the gunsmithing forum I'm very interested to see how you go about gutting the stocks and fitting in the actual receiver of the marlin

Enjoy! It's what you want. Have fun! That is why the good lord gave us gun powder. Please save all the stocks so you can put them back if you get tired of converting rimfires.
