In this video I get to shoot Taylor's & Company's .44 Magnum 1892 Alaskan lever action, takedown rifle. I really enjoyed shooting this rifle. It is equipped with an excellent, barrel-mounted, aperture sight, made by Skinner Sights in Montana. I found the rifle to be quick handling with a smooth action. My full review will be in the November 2013 issue of "Rifle Firepower" magazine.

Mike, I see you're making the rounds with this announcement: comparing and contrasting it to the old Alaskan Copilot, right?

I wish! I could swing the parkerized one I 'spose. I would like to see low, compact, scout-mount optics on the Chiappa as well as dual diopter iron sights (ghost ring and long distance i.e. an A/R) for backup. Would be a dream if it were, I dunno, synthetic stocked, octagonal to ported round, and chambered in .357 Maximum too!

You sure shot yours perfectly!
