So our illustrious King County... you know the one... makes decisions for the whole state...

They seem to think if they tax the gun buyer an extra $25 and the gun owners 5 cents a bullet on all ammo they kill two birds with one stone.

Add an obstacle to wanting to own guns and pocket all that extra cash under the cloak of "gun violence protection"... and hey, we're on our way to eliminating guns.

Love this great communist state we live in....

I'm working on my way out, and so glad I don't claim I'm from here....

I'm also watching what happens. While this tax was limited to Seattle, and hasn't done much if anything, I do see the democrats trying to push this across the state. We have suffered much lately on the various Gun-Hater laws.

I guess one of two things. We won't buy guns or we will pay the tax. :)
OR... or maybe we have enough new gun owners to turn it around at the state level. I have seen this happen with several in-laws/relatives. They now are against the gun laws, now that they own firearms.

I loved living in Washington, but the horrible politics there is why we moved to the S.W. corner of Oregon, most of the people around here hate anything North of Eugene to Portland. Kind of like the corridor of Olympia to Seattle, places that screw up everything for the rest of our states. Is there still a Gart Brother's Sporting Goods Store in Seattle? It's been a lot of years since I was last in it, it was a great place for guns and war surplus ammo, ammo that now days cost an arm and a leg to get a hold of, Gart's would have been the Sportsmen's Warehouse of its day.

Gart's is gone. They might be alive somewhere on the east side of the mountains, but they don't have any stores around here anymore. Same with GI Joe's. Dick's and Big 5 are the only ones left. Surprisingly, Fred Meyer still sells guns, but their ammo is expensive. In fact, all of the big stores are expensive when it comes to Ammo.

You say where your at the folks hate anything north of Eugene, but does North of Eugene rule the rest of the state politically like Seattle rules Washington? I ask because of the folks over in Spokane... they have to put up with the BS Seattle puts out.

Sad. I remember back in the fifties when Washington was a wonderful place.

Of curse, that was before "Kalifornication."

It is a fact California refugees have influenced North Western politics. That said, they remain a minority compared to the large resident population. It is a fact that much of the American population is embracing Socialism.

I'm contemplating a move. You don't even want to go near Seattle. Aside from it being a cesspool, the politics are crazy. The Seattle politico's are attempting to dictate to everyone in the state that they are the majority. Anyone want to know where we're headed, just look up Kshama Sawant. She's a socialist... in power. Now, they are multiplying. Now you have socialist types running for other offices outside of Seattle.

Call me crazy, but with cities being predominantly liberal, what prevents this from happening in other cities in America?

It's coming to a city near you... if it isn't already.

Very much so, the main issue is that is where a lot of social moneys flow for people who wouldn't take a job because it would reduce their welfare payments and that equates to liberal votes, most of taxes slated for education end up in the Portland area. The superintendent, who was over the local school district when I was working for the school, did a research paper he had printed into a book about where collected tax money went, I have a copy somewhere here, anyway, as usual, it didn't upset people enough to get anyone to do anything, so the beat just keeps going on and the criminals running our state keep being voted in and nothing will change until we the people have nothing, sick and sad.

The problem is many Americans are living in Socialist oriented cities. They don't yet realize they are captives of wealth redistribution.

The situation does not bother me. I don't own any invisible guns, although I could certainly see the value of one.

The Democrats and liberal socialist of California have became just like a Cancer! Obviously spreading to neighboring states.
All the residents should ban together and make it an obsession to throw them out and rid them from public service. Like a cancer the only way to survive them is to remove it. ;)
