So, I was out in the garage today unpacking boxes (moved early this year) and trying to find a few things, and came across a scope mount in a bag. I've had it for a few years but never looked at it closely. Today I looked it over deciding if it was a "keeper" or a "tosser", when I noticed it was made by Tactical Solutions. Hmm... So I dug around until I found my last remaining 10/22 and lo and behold the mount fit. Nice! I've almost ordered a TacSol mount about a dozen times, but for a gun that gets fired about once every 5 years I just never have. I'm just not that fond of the 10/22 to order a $65 mount for it. Then I dug around my "leftover optics" bin and found a cheapie BSA red dot that came on some other rifle I traded for. Tossed it on the 10/22 and am actually looking forward to taking it to the range. It points great, and the dot is nice and crisp. A lucky turn of events may have turned 3 unused items into one that will see some use.
