I bought one sure fire flashlight a few years ago. I quickly learned how quickly they can burn through those very expensive batteries. Since then I tend to buy flashlights that operate off cheaper batteries, preferably AA's.

The flashlight I carry everyday runs off of a single AA and last for several months of use plus it is extremely bright. I believe close to 100+ lumens.

I have found that while sure fire had an edge on the market with their super bright LED technology several years ago, other companies have today duplicated it and produce comparable lights for a less expense.

Here are a few of mine. One is 700 lumens, two are 450 lumens, several are around 200 lumens. I have several more, some in the 500 lumen range but they were not handy to photograph right now. Can't wait to get my 975 lumen light next week!

I would say so, anything attached to a Saiga 12 is pretty tactical in my opinion.

This post made me go on Amazon and buy a flashlight that (according to them) has 1600 lumens, it was only $8 so I'm not sure if I believe it.

That is an optic we picked up last year at Bass Pro. Red dot, laser and light. It's pretty cool, you can remove the light and/or laser and they can attach on another rail independently. Came with pressure switches as well, one for each the laser and light. The dust covers on the red dot are metal and open/close by spinning the end. You can partially close them to change the amount of light and view space you have. Made by BSA, haven't seen many of them since then but maybe it was a small run.

The light is not that bright, probably around 100 lumens, but we can change it to another brighter one.

He also has a nice light that mounts the rail on his S&W, super bright.

On wed. We were up in Flag for Wife's Appt. with the Ortho Specialist, so on the way Out I stopped in an GS up there(Ruff's on Rt-66) and saw their "Streamlight" display...so I bought 2 Small ones, plus a dual charger, while I was buying Wife her SWC 38's and some More SD 9mm to test out. Also had a NICE Lunch @ Chili's on 66....
