One of my troops has a SW99 .40 cal that has an issue. Trigger fails to reset on occasion. Thoroughly cleaned and lubed and it is better, but not perfect. Contacted S&W, got a shipping lable, FedEx picked it up yesterday. Hopefully the normal less than one week turn around will happen again.

Troop already bought a Gen 4 G-19. She finally listened and went to 9mm as her shooting was good with the .40, but better with the 9. Now she wants to sell the SW99 full size and her SW99 compact, 8 total mags, holsters and ammo for $600. I think I have two new guns. At least wife has two new guns. Wife is a lefty and the 99's are very lefty friendly.

    Nice...

I've never shot the 99 or any Walther for that matter but 2 smiths plus goodies for 600 is a deal all day long.:)

Let me know when you run across a troop looking to part with a couple of smith 29's for that price.:D

    Tack

I will let you know when I BOUGHT a couple of 29's for anywhere near that price. I ONLY have two (well one, but the other is a 629) and need a few more.

I had one that I never had any issues with. I shot about 1200 rounds through it with no issues. If you can get them, I recommend them. Only reason I gave mine up was I'm not really a fan of .40 cals.

I bought a used sw9940c not to long ago, I love this little gun. It does kick a little or I mean muzzle flip but is a joy to shoot. I have a g23 gen 3 and I always liked it but I have to say I am starting to like the feel of the sw99 better even with the small shorter grip.
