I'd like any and all opinions on this sale. Here is a link to this gun shop (Bullet Stop Gun Shop - 815-654-7550 - 660-355-4867) but this is a deal they only send to people who have signed up with them for email deals.

This is the gun shop I go to and I was wondering what anyone thought of the sales here. I do think I will pick up some .38 sp ammo as I think that is a pretty cheap price for a box of 50 ($19.95). But what does anyone think about the gun prices, particularly the Yugo SKS. Not that I have anywhere I can shoot the SKS but I'd really like to have one. :(

the prices seem pretty fair my comment was that its hard to find .45s on sale.

Personally, I think $20 for 38s is slightly high but not out of line. The gun prices look decent.

Do they actually sell any ammo at regular prices? Holy crap!

The sale prices are not too bad, especially the .40, the .38 sp seems like it should be a little less.

The gun prices look good. $185 for a Yugo SKS is a good price these days. I paid $185 for a Norinco paratrooper 10 years ago. I might be the only person to ever say this....but I just never feel in love with it.

That's about the cheapest I've seen for .38 sp. Maybe THAT'S why I feel I can't afford to buy as much ammo as I'd like. It's about that price at the WalMart, too. When I get an income tax return I hope to buy 500 or 1000 rounds of .38 sp from those online ammo places. I'd like to stock up on a little .357 magnum, too, but I shoot that much less than the .38's.

Maybe it's because it's such a popular caliber that they don't have to ever have them on sale. If they can move them for full price, why reduce the price? Just a thought.

Hm, I wonder if that's Doc trying to sell his Glock .22 already?

Gun prices look good, but the ammo is considerably cheaper in Florida. 38 rounds are about $16 at wall mart, and 40 rounda about $14. Some of the dealers will be even better then that at the gun shows. Of course Florida prices won't do you much good in Illinois!

$185 for that Yugo sounds very reasonable.

In CA, a decent Yugo goes for $300. +/- these days. :(

    The ammunition prices are average.

This may be a question not easily answered but there are Yugo SKS, Russian SKS, Chinese SKS. What is the difference in them? I read the barrel in the Yugo model is chrome lined and something about free floating vs. spring loaded firing pins.

Winds, save up your money. When you come to Wisconsin you can get 50 round boxes of 38 range ammo for $16.99 all day long and probably cheaper at Walmart. Maybe you need to sneak across the boarder, and by the way, leave your FOID Card at home, you won't need it. Wisconsin is in America. :D

At $185, I would buy two of those Yugos and then sell one for $350. They seem to be fairly reasonable, they got to make money also.:)

P.S. Get one of those Mosin for $85. Great fun.
