Has anyone ever heard of the case being too long for stinger ammo?

Case length dose vary from manufacturer to manufacturer some 22 ammo is taller than others, should really never be a problem as these are very small differances.

only if you are going to use a barrel with a "match"(close tolerance)dimension chamber, then a stinger, and a super maximum aguila shell would exceed (in length) the chamber dimensions and will most likely get stuck and cause other problems, jamming, stovepiping, etc.

    Stinger

Cci stinger ammo is indeed a tad longer in case length as opposed to regular .22Lr ammo. In fact, the stinger case is what was used to create .17 mk2.
Any rifle chambered for .22Lr (barring match chambers) will work with stingers.
