I realized that the SSG 69 is an old gun when I was at the range and the magazine stopped feeding, then the rifle stopped chambering rounds!

Can't upload photos that show extractor claw too close to center of bolt face. I am guessing that there is a broken spring that was holding the extractor in position. The magazine spring is also probably old and weak.

I would like diagrams of the bolt extractor as well as the magazine. Specs on the springs.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Im not sure it is curved in too much. Did you check the chamber?

I do not know whether the extractor is supposed to be flush with the bolt, but a spring failure will cause it to get loose. Try to open the claw with a small tool. If it is tight and bounces right back the spring is not the problem.

Did you just get this rifle as used?
