I need help on removing the bolt from the receiver on my latest pawn shop find, a Stevens 1244. I have the trigger assembly out, but cannot see how to get the bolt out to replace the firing pin. I have the exploded schematics, but they are no help. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hmmm- looks like an auto, but manually operated?

First, remove the trigger group and carrier assembly. Move the bolt to the rear until the firing pin stop pin is aligned w/ the bolt locking hole on the left side of the receiver. It will be necessary to use a small dental pick to push the stop pin out towards the outside of the receiver. The bolt then has to be moved to the forward position and pushed into the locked position. Then push the firing pin all the way forward and you can remove the bolt handle.

Thanks c3shooter, that was a move I hadn't tried yet. Got the firing pin out. Now just waiting on the replacement.
