Just filed my NFA with the ATF for a OSPREY silencer, so approximately 6 months from now.....
Congrats enjoy the wait. Lol
Maybe 6months from "pending" status. Thats what they been telling me. My 9mm suppressor status is pending on 1/6/12. While my 5.56 suppressor is pending on 3/28/12. ;(
All of our transfers are push 5 to 6 months right now.
Yeah.. really sucks !
I put in my request for a suppressor tax stamp the first week in february and my check was electronically cashed the next week. 4 months left or so. I got an AAC Eco before they were discontinued.
I'm saving for a rifle suppressor now. I was thinking of a YHM 7.62 stainless QD for a 5.56 AR and a future 300 Blk and .308 bolt gun. While I wait 6 more months I can buy the rifles!
OUCH, it only took the gun shop 7 months to get the thing in, so by then it will be in excess of a year....
Call this # +1-304-616-4500 and be ready to tell them your serial #. They will tell you the status of your item.
GOOD INFO! I'll keep that number on file.
Dont call them for 1 month at least!!
I've been waiting for them to cash the check, once that happens I am told the permit will be in process, but as of yet Nada... :-(
Based on my experiences.. on average they take 1 month from check cashed status to pending status. Then another 5-6 months to get the stamp back. *fingercrossed*, June will be my 1st stamp back. Cant wait!!!
WHOHO! Just checked and the check cleared on the 17th! There is a light at the end of the tunnel after all
Got my tax stamp yesterday. Pending 1/6/12, approved 6/18/12 and received 6/22/12
